Join forces with the Independence Public Library to imagine our community story by reading 100,000 hours this Summer as a community! IPL’s Summer Reading Challenge begins June 1 and lasts until July 31. While life is still getting back to normal, the Independence Public Library is on a mission to get our community to read 100,000 hours this summer. That’s just over 7.5 hours per person, if everyone in the library’s service area participates! This all age challenge is broken down into three age groups:
Ages 0 – 11 goal = read 50 hours = free book & fantasy bin prize.
Ages 12 – 17 goal = read 25 hours = free book & fantasy bin prize.
Ages 18+ goal = read 50 hours = free IPL bookstore coupon
This year, our Summer Reading is going virtual! You can now download IPL’s BeanStack app to register for the Summer Reading Challenge. Sign-up by clicking on the banner on IPLKS.org homepage or DOWNLOAD the BeanStack App from your smartphone or tablet’s App Store! For anyone who does not have access to a computer, call 620-331-3030 and follow extension directions to register.
