Little Green Men

Little Green Men is a Science Fiction discussion group that meets every second Thursday, at 6:00 PM to discuss the latest SciFi reads and more. All are welcome to attend.

Ladies Night Out

3rd Tuesday of the Month at 6:00 PM

Join the Independence Public Library each month for an evening just for ladies. It’s Sex in the City, meets Crafts in the Stacks. Enjoy good company, great food, and fabulous crafts. This class will teach you how to create marketable crafts while indulging in conversation, appetizers, and wine. This evening is designed to be fun, creative, and carefree. Sign-up is required for this event, and a fee of $5 to cover the cost of materials. Sign-up by calling the library at 620.331.3030,emailing brandon@iplks.org or online at the link below.

Senior Day

3rd Thursday of the Month, Starting at 10:00 AM

Each month there will be coffee, doughnuts, and healthy snacks, free blood sugar and blood pressure checks, book discussion, lunch and a movie, special speakers, a discount in the bookstore, and a chance to gather and chat with friends. Stop by each month on the 3rd Thursday of the month, all day.
